Oh, wait, I have a question for all you from the UK - what does "ramraid" mean? I was watching the documentary about the BBC journalist who went undercover into the Manchester police to examine racism, and it was the only slang I couldn’t figure out.... I mean, I gather it is “up to no good” but would like to narrow it down...

(7.1.05 11:26) There was a spate of it (criminal fashions, y'know) a few years ago, but I haven't heard any recent reports. It seemed to happen in more rural areas where they had access to vehicles which wouldn't crumple on impact - road diggers and tractors, kinda thing. |
