So, I was granted a Research Assistance for this term - and no, this doesn’t mean I have someone to aid in my papers... I get to do boring research for someone who won’t be looking at it for a few months. And you’ll want to sit down before I tell you what it is - you’re about to be SO jealous...

I need to find and then photocopy reviews of Gray Owl’s books.

Gray Owl, for you who don’t know, was a Brit who masqueraded as a member of the First Nations and wasn’t unmasked until after his death, although the Indians of his “tribe” knew. He was a strong environmentalist although the prof is more interested in issues of identity and perception.

Sorry for not sounding a bit more grateful about this. I am actually quite happy - I did work quite similar to this when I worked for Chase, only for much less money and with a smelly boss. The prof is REALLY nice and says I can be very flexible with my hours.

Next time, I will tell you all about my classes for this term...
